Nigeria’s Super Eagles have received an early warning ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after Group Stage opponents Tunisia held global football powerhouse Brazil to a 1-1 draw in an international friendly on Tuesday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Carthage Eagles continued their impressive form, extending their unbeaten run to six matches, with four victories and two draws recorded during that period.

Tunisia stunned the South Americans by taking the lead in the 23rd minute, showcasing sharp attacking play and defensive discipline.

Brazil equalised shortly before halftime, with Chelsea youngster Estevão converting from the penalty spot in the 44th minute.

The Selecao had the opportunity to secure the win late in the game, but Lucas Paquetá failed to convert a 78th-minute penalty, keeping the score level.

The result highlights Tunisia’s growing confidence and quality, sending a strong signal to Nigeria, which will face them in the AFCON 2025 group phase in Morocco.

With AFCON fast approaching, Tunisia’s form is expected to intensify the competitiveness of the group.
