AFCON 2025: Uganda Captain Sends Strong Warning To Super Eagles

As the countdown to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco continues, Uganda captain Khalid Aucho has issued a bold warning to their group opponents, including Nigeria, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Drawn in Group C alongside the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Carthage Eagles of Tunisia, and Taifa Stars of Tanzania, Uganda face a challenging task in their bid to progress beyond the group stage.

Aucho acknowledged the quality of their opponents but maintained confidence in his team’s ability to compete.

“It’s not an easy group. These are big nations, all with ambitions to top the table. But we also know our capabilities,” Aucho told CAFonline.

“With the experience we’ve added to the squad, we can combine well and compete. It will be tough, but I believe we can advance to the next round.”

The 2025 edition will mark Uganda’s ninth appearance at the AFCON finals, with Morocco set to host the prestigious tournament.
