The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has dismissed reports suggesting that the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations will be postponed, confirming that the tournament will proceed as scheduled, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The decision was ratified on Friday following a meeting of CAF’s Executive Committee held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Speculation had emerged in recent weeks over a possible shift of the tournament to 2028, but CAF clarified that there are no plans to alter the existing calendar.

The 2027 edition of the Africa Cup of Nations will be jointly hosted by Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya marking the first time the competition will be staged across three East African nations.

CaCAF reiterated its commitment to ensuring that preparations remain on track, with infrastructure development, logistics, and tournament planning continuing in line with the approved timeline.
