AFCON 2027 Qualifier: Nigeria Gets Deadline To Confirm Participation

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has issued a deadline to all Member Associations, including the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), to confirm their participation in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

CAF has officially fixed the preliminary round of the 2027 AFCON qualifiers for March 23–31, 2026, marking the start of the qualification journey for the tournament.

As part of early preparations for the next AFCON cycle, Member Federations have been directed to formally confirm their readiness to take part in the qualifiers on or before December 31, 2025.

The directive is aimed at ensuring smooth planning, scheduling, and logistical coordination ahead of the commencement of the qualification series.
