The long-running dispute over the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final involving Morocco national football team and Senegal national football team will not be resolved anytime soon, with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) delaying its verdict until after the FIFA World Cup, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Despite expectations of an expedited ruling, sources indicate that there will be no fast-tracking of the case at Court of Arbitration for Sport. 

The governing body is instead expected to deliver its final decision only after the conclusion of the global showpiece.

The case, which has generated significant debate across African football, centers on issues surrounding the AFCON final, with both nations awaiting clarity on the outcome and any potential implications.

With the delay, uncertainty continues to hang over the matter, leaving stakeholders, fans, and officials from both countries in a prolonged state of anticipation as they await a definitive ruling.
