AFCON Qualifiers : Super Eagles Winger Chukwueze Hopes for big win against Sao Tome and Principe

The Nigeria's Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze has revealed that they respect Sao Tome and Principe, but are looking to record another big win against them, on Sunday, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, The BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The first encounter between both sides ended in a very comfortable way for the Super Eagles, after they hammered Sao Tome and Principe 10-0, in June 2022.

Ahead of the game on Sunday, Jose Peseiro’s side are overwhelming favourites to claim victory, And Chukwueze wants the Super Eagles to round off their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign in style.

“We defeated them 10-0, the last time we met and it will be nice to go higher than that this time around.

“But in football, you have to respect your opponent as well. They won’t want a repeat of the first leg result and will give us a good fight.

“For us, it is important to make the fans happy. They will be looking forward to another big win and we can’t afford to disappoint them,” Chukwueze told reporters.
