The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has tasked the Flying Eagles with securing a 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup ticket by defeating Senegal in their upcoming quarter-final clash at the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

NFF Secretary General, Mohammed Sanusi, paid a visit to the team at their training camp at Mercure Hotel in Ismailia on Saturday. He emphasized the importance of qualifying for the U-20 World Cup in Chile, urging the players to give their all in Monday’s decisive match.

“The NFF President is deeply committed to youth football and is working tirelessly to support this team,” Sanusi told the players. “Qualifying for the World Cup is vital for both the team and the country, so I encourage you to fight hard to reach the semi-finals and secure that ticket.”

The quarter-final match against Senegal is scheduled for Monday at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia, with kickoff at 1 p.m. Nigeria time.

The Flying Eagles advanced to the knockout stage after finishing second in Group B, collecting five points from three matches.
