AFCON U20: CAF Appoints Libyan Ref For Nigeria Vs Gambia Semi-Final Clash

Nigeria versus Gambia Africa U20 Cup of Nations Semifinal match will be officiated by Libyan Referee Abdulrazg Ahmed, according to the Confederation of African Football, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Algerian official Hamza Bouzit will serve as assistant referee 1, while Nigerien official Abdoul Moctar Saley and Moroccan official Jalal Jayed will serve as the second and fourth officials, respectively.

Imade El Famous from Morocco will serve as the general coordinator, with Butane Said from Comoros serving as the Match Commissioner.

At the Suez Canal Authority Stadium on Thursday, Ahmed served as the fourth official as the Flying Eagles defeated Uganda. On February 25, Jayed served as a fourth official as the seven-time champions defeated Mozambique 2-0.

The Gambia, one of only two teams to have won all of their games at the 17th Africa U20 Cup of Nations taking place in Egypt, destroyed South Sudan 5-0 at the Haras El Hedoud Stadium in Alexandria to claim one of Africa's tickets to the FIFA U20 World Cup finals in Indonesia.

The Flying Eagles have experienced the fields of both the Cairo International Stadium and the Suez Stadium, while the Scorpions have played all of their games at the Haras El Hedoud Stadium in Alexandria.

The game will take place at Cairo International Stadium on Monday night.

Flying Eagles of Nigeria are the most successful team having won the tournament seven times and won silver twice.
