AFCON U20: Flying Eagles Gun Down Global Soccer Academy, As More Foreign Pros Expected
Flying Eagles kept their unbeaten run as they pummeled Global Soccer Academy in a pre-AFCON U20 tune-up game played at the FIFA Goal Project Pitch in Abuja on Saturday, reports BSNSports.com.ng.
Jimoh Saheed started behind the sticks in the friendly win over Global Soccer Academy, as the quartet of Yahaya Ibrahim, Segun Otusanya, Emmanuel and brace hero, Jude Sunday were on the goal scorers sheet.
It took the Ladan Bosso lads 11 minutes the go past the stubborn defence line of Global Soccer Academy with Ibrahim scoring the first goal of the game.
Credit to the non-league side as they held the Flying Eagles for 38 minutes before conceding a second goal in the 49th minute via a cool finish off the boots of Sunday.
The Bosso lads had to teach Global Soccer Academy some football lessons as Otusanya made it 3-0 two minutes past the hour mark.
It was a bit of a relief for the Global Soccer Academy coaching crew after they found the back of the Flying Eagles' goal to make it 3-1.
They however got punished for the schoolboy defending in the 70th minute after Sunday got his second and make it 4-1 for the Flying Eagles.
Emmanuel then completed the 5-1 thrashing of Global Soccer Academy finishing off on the dot of 90th minute.
Meanwhile, and after the tune-up game, no player was sent home but there was a bit of news as NK Jarun forward Wisdom Ubani arrived at the camp of Flying Eagles.
With the development, more foreign pros are expected in camp as coach Ladan Bosso continues to mould a squad that Nigerians will be proud of.
The duo of Abel Ogwuche and Kelechi Success are expected to arrive on Sunday.
