AFCON U20: Morocco To Name Squad On Friday For Flying Eagles

Morocco’s U20 head coach, Mohamed Ouahbi, is set to announce his squad for the upcoming U20 Africa Cup of Nations on Friday, April 18, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The announcement will take place during a press conference at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Rabat, officially launching Morocco's campaign for the tournament, which will be held in Egypt from April 27 to May 18, 2025.

Drawn in a challenging Group B alongside Nigeria’s Flying Eagles, Tunisia, and Kenya, the Atlas Lions are tipped as one of the tournament favourites.

Their squad is expected to feature a talented and ambitious generation of players, many of whom are based at top European clubs.

Morocco will be aiming not only for the AFCON title but also for one of the four semi-final spots, which guarantees qualification for the FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile later this year.
