AFCON U20: Newcastle United Scouts Arrive In Egypt To Watch Flying Eagles, Other Talents

Some of the standout performers at the ongoing U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt could soon be making their way to the English Premier League, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The tournament, which began with 13 teams, is now down to the final four. Nigeria's Flying Eagles are among the semifinalists and are set to face host nation Egypt in the third-place match after falling to South Africa in the semis.

In a fresh development, Newcastle United's scouting team has touched down in Egypt to assess emerging talent.

This move is part of a broader recruitment strategy led by Newcastle’s sporting director, Paul Mitchell, aimed at expanding the club’s scouting network and identifying young prospects from across Africa.
