AFCON U20: Night Football Fever To Grip Flying Eagles Fans

Anxious Nigerians hoping to catch a glimpse of the 2023 African Cup Of Nations matches involving the Flying Eagles will have to wait till night, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
In the championship schedule released by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the Flying Eagles opening AFCON U20 match against Senegal billed for the Cairo International Stadium on February 19, is scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. GMT (Greenwich Mean Time), which is 7 p.m. local time as Egypt is an hour ahead.
Nigeria's second group game against the host Egypt which comes up on February 22, at the Cairo International Stadium is at 7 p.m. local time.
The same goes for the Flying Eagles' final group match against Mozambique on February 25, but the Suez Canal Stadium is the venue for the game.
The 17th edition of the AFCOn U20 will take place in Egypt from February 19 to March 11.
Twelve teams divided into three groups will take part in this tournament.
The Flying Eagles who are the seven times champions of the AFCON U20 are in Group A.
Meanwhile, the Ladan Bosso’s side who travelled in batches to Morocco, have arrived safely in Casablanca and will spend a few days camping for the final stage of their preparations for the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
The age-grade tournament serves as a qualification for the FIFA U20 World Cup in Indonesia, with the semi-finalists in Egypt representing Africa at the tourney.
