Despite a revised draw for the upcoming U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, tensions remain high among the participating teams, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The unexpected withdrawal of Côte d'Ivoire as tournament host has continued to create complications—particularly for Senegal.
Following Egypt’s confirmation as the new host nation, Tunisia was selected to replace Ivory Coast in the tournament lineup. However, the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has formally objected to Tunisia’s inclusion.
On Tuesday afternoon, the FSF submitted an official protest letter to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) headquarters in Cairo.
In the letter addressed to CAF Secretary General Véron Mosengo-Omba, the FSF condemned what it described as a “flagrant violation of CAF statutes and regulations.”
