South Africa U20 head coach Raymond Mdaka has shared insights into how his team managed to edge past Nigeria's Flying Eagles in their semi-final clash at the ongoing AFCON U20 tournament, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Amajita secured a hard-fought 1-0 win over Nigeria, booking their place in the final.

Speaking after the match, Mdaka credited his players’ discipline and adherence to the tactical game plan for the result.

"Yes, another win—congratulations to the boys. They did a fantastic job, showed great character, remained disciplined, and followed the tactical and technical plan we agreed on. We really appreciate their effort," he said.

"It wasn't an easy game, but our boys are growing with every match—developing in character and improving in all aspects. Thank you and well done to the boys, and well done to the country."

South Africa will now face Morocco in the tournament final on Sunday.
