AFCON Update: CAF Determines Ticket Allocation For Member Associations
Sampson Adedeji
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has outlined the ticket allocation framework for its member associations ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), BSNSports.com.ng reports.
In a directive issued to participating federations, CAF confirmed that ticket quotas for each match will be allocated across designated categories to ensure equitable access for officials and stakeholders of member associations.
Under the approved arrangement, each member association will receive 100 tickets for the presidential suite or 50 percent of its total capacity, whichever is lower.
In addition, 200 tickets will be allocated for the stands adjacent to the presidential box, while 300 tickets will be issued for Category B seating located in front of the presidential box.
CAF further stated that all allocated tickets will be handed over to the Secretary General of the Confederation of African Football before the commencement of the competition.
This distribution is separate from, and in addition to, ticket allocations already provided for CAF partners and sponsors in line with the confederation’s media and marketing regulations.
The clarification is part of CAF’s broader operational planning for AFCON, aimed at ensuring transparency, proper coordination, and smooth access management for officials and stakeholders throughout the tournament.
