AFCON Update: CAF Reveals Number Of Medals For Top Four Teams

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially disclosed the number of medals and recognitions to be awarded to teams finishing in the top four positions at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to CAF, the tournament champions will receive a total of 50 gold medals in recognition of their triumph, while the runners-up will be presented with 50 silver medals.

CAF further confirmed that the third-place team will be awarded 50 bronze medals, acknowledging their performance in the competition.

In addition, the team that finishes fourth will not receive medals but will be honored with 50 certificates of appreciation.

The announcement outlines CAF’s standard reward structure for the continent’s flagship football tournament, ensuring recognition for teams that reach the latter stages of the competition.
