AFCON Update: Injured Achraf Hakimi Included In Morocco’s Squad

Moroccan star defender Achraf Hakimi has been named in the Atlas Lions’ squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations despite concerns over his fitness, BSNSports.com.ng reports 

The PSG full-back has been recovering from an injury in recent weeks, but the Moroccan technical team has opted to include him in the final list, expressing optimism that he will be fit enough to feature at some stage during the tournament.

Hakimi remains a key figure in Morocco’s push for a historic host-and-win campaign as they stage the 2025 edition of AFCON on home soil. His inclusion is seen as a major boost for the North African giants, who are among the top favourites for the title.
