AFCON Update: Super Eagles’ Group Opponent Tunisia Unveils Strong Squad
Sampson Adedeji
Tunisia have officially announced their squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, setting the stage for what promises to be a fiercely contested Group C that includes Nigeria, Uganda, and Tanzania, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Carthage Eagles, one of Africa’s most consistent performers on the continental stage, will arrive in Morocco with a blend of experience and emerging talents as they aim for another deep tournament run.
Their AFCON pedigree remains strong, having famously won the title on home soil in 2004 where they knocked out Nigeria in the semi-finals via a dramatic penalty shootout.
With the group already being tagged one of the trickiest in the tournament, Tunisia’s squad release only heightens anticipation ahead of the January kickoff.
The Super Eagles will be keeping a close eye on their North African rivals as preparations intensify for what promises to be a high-stakes battle for knockout-stage qualification.
