AFCON Update: Super Eagles Play Better - Equatorial Guinea Captain

By Sampson Adedeji

Despite gaining a valuable point from the game, the captain of the Nzalang Nacional of Equatorial Guinea Emilio Nsue has admitted that the Super Eagles had a better game, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Guineans scored first but allowed Napoli forward Victor Osimhen to bring Nigeria level almost immediately.

Nsue made it clear that they will work to correct their mistake in the subsequent games.

“They were better in the first half, I think we played a very good game. But this is the way. We have to improve on our mistakes.

“For us here, we are happy with the point, we are not happy with the performance. So, we have to look at the next game.

“For us, the next game is the most important one", he said.

Equatorial Guinea will face Guinea Bissau on Thursday in their second game.
