AFCON Update: Tanzania Arrives In Egypt, Start Preparations

The Tanzania national team, Taifa Stars, have arrived in Egypt as they officially opened their training camp ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The team touched down earlier this week and immediately settled into camp, where they will begin intensive preparations for the continental showpiece.

Egypt will serve as their temporary base as the coaching crew focuses on fitness, tactical drills and squad cohesion.

As part of their build-up, the Taifa Stars are expected to play a series of international friendly matches to fine-tune the squad before making the short trip to Morocco, the host nation of the tournament.

Tanzania are hoping the early camping plan will give them a competitive edge as they target a strong run at the upcoming AFCON.
