The Super Eagles thrashed Sao Tome and Principe in their second AFCONQ game yesterday afternoon.
The game ended in a 10-0 win for the Super Eagles with Napoli's Victor Osimhen scoring four, Terem Moffi scoring two, Moses Simon, Oghenekaro Etebo, Ademola Lookman and Emmanuel Dennis also scoring one each.
BSNSports.com.ng runs the rules over the players at Stade d'Agadir in Morocco.
Francis Uzoho: The goalkeeper was virtually on holiday during the game. He however did well to bail out his defenders a couple of times. 7/10
Semi Ajayi: Played as a one-man defence at times and was at his calming best. He sprayed passes and mopped up loose passes with ease. 8/10
Calvin Bassey: Was playing in a centre-back position alongside Ajayi and he did well. 8/10
Ola Aina: The Torino defender has no doubt made the right-back position his own. Aina made a number incisive passes and was a delight to watch. 7/10
Zaidu Sanusi: Not really at his best in the first half, but improved after the break. 6/10
Ademola Lookman: The first half was a mixed bag but was unfortunate to not set up Osimhen earlier from a set-piece.
The RB Leipzig loanee looked far more dangerous after the interlude, eventually setting up the Napoli frontman minutes into the second half and scoring his first Nigeria goal in the 64th minute. 7/10
Moses Simon: Lively display and delivered his third assist in two games with a lovely pinpoint cross for Osimhen to head home.
A constant threat to the Sao Tome defence and scored the second goal with a smart finish after some good work by Osimhen.
Was relieved of defensive duties today due to the little attacking threat from Sao Tome but the little he did was done quite well. 8/10
Alex Iwobi: Seems to be enjoying life under Jose Peseiro. Full of life and dominated the midfield. 8/10
Terem Moffi: Got the nod to pair Victor Osimhen upfront ahead of Umar Sadiq and Cyriel Dessers. The Lorient forward took the opportunity well by scoring a brace. 8/10
Victor Osimhen: Osimhen may have been caught offside one time too many, but he still netted a staggering four times, hit the woodwork in the 88th minute and assisted Simon’s strike.
The Napoli man chased lost causes and ran the channels consistently. 10/10
SUBSTITUTE:
Leon Balogun: Balogun looked off the pace after replacing Bassey and a few lapses could have been punished on another day. 4/10
Sadiq Umar: Showed a good turn of pace in the 73rd minute after replacing Moffi. Average execution but good intent. Nearly scored too. 5/10
Ahmed Musa: Came on for Moses Simon and showed his quality and experience with some beautiful touches and runs. Got the assist for Osimhen's third goal. 6/10
Emmanuel Dennis: Was rather showy at times after replacing Lookman but he played a pin-point diagonal for Sadiq’s late chance.
Won and scored and scored a late penalty to make it ten. 5/10
Abdullahi Shehu: Replaced Aina before the hour and bombed forward late on. 5/10
