The final game of the African Football League quarter-final was held late on Sunday evening and it was a good outing for TP Mazembe despite playing their home game away from home, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Mazembe decided to adopt Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Tanzania as their home venue after the DR Congo government refused to allow VAR equipment entry into the country.

Former Enyimba International skipper Austin Oladapo was the cynosure of all eyes, as he was instrumental in the only goal scored in the game against Tunisian giants Esperance.

Oladapo joined the former African champions a few seasons ago and he has become a household name in the DR Congo League.

Fofana scored the only goal of the game in the 11th minute of the encounter and Oladapo was replaced in the second half of the game as he applauded by the home crowd.

The second legs of the quarter-finals are slated for next week across 4 venues in the continent.
