Ahead of the kickoff of the maiden edition of the African Football League, the update from the camp of Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca is not palatable as key players are out injured, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The former African champions were drawn to face Nigeria Premier Football League champions Enyimba International in the quarter-final of the competition.

The duo of Zola and Sambou sustained injuries on Friday during the team preparation for the weekend league match.

Zola has been ruled out for 6 weeks and Sambou will be out for a month.

It means that both players will miss the first leg and probably the second leg of the AFL game against the People's Elephants in October.
