AFN Shifts World Athletics Championships National Trials

The Athletics Federation of Nigeria has rescheduled the National Trials for the World Athletics Championships previously scheduled to hold between 6th to 9th July, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

The 2023 World Athletics Championships, the nineteenth edition of the World Athletics Championships, are scheduled to be held from 19 August to 27 August 2023 at the National Athletics Centre, in Budapest, Hungary.

The AFN in a letter dated 27th June, 2023 and signed by the General Secretary, Rita Mosindi revealed that the event has been fixed to hold between 5th to 7th July at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium,

Edo State.

It added that the National Trials will take place under strict compliance of World Athletics rules and regulations. The letter made available to www.bsnsports.com.ng did not state why it was shifted two days backward.
