AFN Unveils Strong Team For African Championship

The Athletics Federation of Nigeria on Wednesday released a strong team for the upcoming African Athletics Championship slated to start this weekend in Douala, Cameroon, BSNSports.com.ng reports 

The athletes has been competing for space in the championship with national trial which was concluded at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin on Tuesday.

Just before the event in Benin, the AFN has send a stern warning to the athletes to either show up for the national trial or forget about going to Cameroon and Olympics.

All the athletes gave a good account of themselves in Benin and all the expected athletes made the list.

The athletics body in Nigeria on Wednesday evening announced 40-man list including Tobi Amusan, Favour Ofili, Ese Brume etc .

Most part of the athletes in the list to Cameroon are expected to still make Team Nigeria to the Olympics in Paris, France.
