AMAC Defeats Kuje in FCT U-12/U-15 Inter-Area Council Handball Championship Opener

Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC on Wednesday defeated Kuje Area Council 22-5 in the opening match of the FCT U-12/U-15 Inter-Area Council Handball Championship.


The defending champions, AMAC humbled the Kuje kids in the U-12 female category which served up the opener for the five-day championship.


Earlier in a novelty match, Poverty Fighters Club thrashed Abuja Unity Club 21-7. 


20 teams from the six Area Councils in the Federal Capital Territory are taking part in the competition.


The tournament which started on Wednesday will see over 230 kids jostle for glory with trophies, individual awards and scholarships up to University level, up for grab 


There will be nine matches in Day 2 of the tournament with first match kicking off by 8am as U-15 female team of Kwali will battle their counterparts from Kuje.

All matches will hold at the FCT Handball Court at Old Parade Ground, Garki Abuja.
