AMGA 2024: Cameroon Beat Nigeria To Face Algeria In Football Final

Team Nigeria in the football event at the ongoing 2024 African Military Games lost 0-1 to their Cameroon counterparts in the semi-final of the tournament.

The only goal was scored in the extra time after a pulsating semi-final encounter that ended goalless at the end of regulation time.

In the other semi-final encounter, Algeria defeated Equatorial Guinea 2-0 after a one-sided encounter.

The result means that Cameroon and Algeria will slug it out in Saturday’s final, while Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea play the 3rd/4th place match.

A total of 20 games are being competed for in the 2nd edition of AMGA 2024 by 1,625 athletes from no fewer than 21 African countries from Nov. 18 to Nov. 30.
