AWCON 2022: Playing Against Nigeria Will Be A Great Experience - Burundi Coach

Head Coach of Burundi women's national team, Gustave Niyonkuru has described playing against Nigeria's Super Falcons as a great experience, BSNsports.com.ng gathered

Burundi which will be making its first appearance at the tournament was drawn against Nigeria, South Africa and Botswana in the next African Women's Nations Cup.

Niyonkuru said it will be a great experience for his players and an honour to be among the 12 participating teams.

“Facing Nigeria who has won 11 titles will be a good experience for my players. We are going to prepare well for the tournament.

"First, it is an honour to be among the countries that will participate in the tournament. I know that for us this is the first time, but we shall try our best to perform well," he said

The coach concluded that there are plans to beef up the squad with some players who feature in Sweden, Switzerland and the USA.
