African champions Super Falcons have been placed as the leader of group C as the Confederation of African Football released the draw procedure for the 2022 African Women Cup of Nations, BSNsports.com.ng gathered.
According to the procedure made public by the football body, host Morocco has been put in group A and Cameroon as the second best-ranked team in B while Nigeria is in group C.
Three additional pots will be used: A, B, C each pot will contain 3 balls.
The first ball drawn from pot 1 will go to group A, a ball will drawn from Por A to determine its position ( A2, B3, A4) in the group.
The second ball drawn from pot 1 will go to group B, and a ball will draw from pot B to determine its position ( B2, B3, B4) in the group.
The third ball is drawn from Pot 1 will go to group C, and a ball will be drawn from pot C to determine its position ( C2, C3, C4 ) in the group.
This procedure will be repeated for all the remaining teams in Pot 1.
The qualified teams that will take part in the draw include: Nigeria, Cameroon, South Africa, Burundi, Botswana, Burkinafaso, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Morocco, Zambia and Senegal.
The draw is slated for Friday, April 29th at the Mohammed VI complex in Rabat.
