AWCON Qualifier: NFF Yet To Decide Date, Venue For Super Falcons Vs São Tomé and Principe

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has not decided the date and venue of Super Falcons versus São Tomé and Principe 2024 African Women's Nations Cup qualifier, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

The nine-time African champions are scheduled to host São Tomé and Principe between 18th-22nd September, 2023 in the first leg, First Round of 2024 African Nations Cup qualifier with the return leg holding four days later.

The General Secretary of the NFF, Sanusi Mohammed in an exclusive interview with BSN Sports said the federation has not decided on the date and venue of the match.

"The first leg between Super Falcons and São Tomé and Principe will hold between 18th-22nd this month but we have not decided on the date the match will be played." He told www.bsnsports.com.ng.

He added, "we have not also decided on the venue of the match but we will let Nigerians know all these once decision is taken."

The Super Falcons had a decent outing at the just concluded FIFA Women's World Cup. No team was able to defeat the Nigeria senior women's national team in the regulation time, they lost to the competition finalists, England on penalty shoot-outs in the Second Round.
