Abia Comets Appoints Ogharanduku As Technical Director/Technical Adviser

Nigeria National League side, Abia Comets FC of Umuahia, has announced the appointment of Tony Ogharanduku, as the new Technical Director /Technical Adviser of the club, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The Chairman of the club, Chief Boniface Alozie Uche, while introducing Ogharanduku, said he is the right man to take Abia Comets out of the situation they are currently because of his experienced and well known knowledge of the game. 

Ogharanduku, while speaking with Abia Comets FC Media, after the completion and signing of his contract, revealed that it is going to be a joint forces with everyone at the club to take Abia Comets out of the current situation, but promised that the team will produce good performances under his watch as Technical Director /Technical Adviser. 

"I want to use this medium to thank the chairman, Chief Boniface Alozie Uche, and everyone working with Abia Comets, who are presently here.

"I strongly believe that we are going to work harder to get ourselves out of the situation we are presently.

"Yes, I also believe that everyone has a role to play in helping, improving and supporting the team for us to get out of the drop zone. So that is what we are going to do to improve the team moving forward."

With the appointment of coach Ogharanduku as the Technical Director /Technical Adviser of the club, the position of Kevin Ejeh, who had only won 1 out of 5 matches as the Head coach is now hanging in the balance. 

Ogharanduku, during his professional football career, played for the likes of Plateau United, New Jets of Jos, Rangers International and Wikki Tourists.

The Delta State-born tactician, who has a CAF B coaching Licence previously coached teams like Mighty Jets of Jos, Mees Palace Football Academy, Wikki Tourists as a player/ Coach, also coached in Enyimba International, during the 2023/24 season and FC Taraba, Giwa FC.

Ogharanduku will take charge of the team as they continue preparation ahead of this week Matchday 6 encounter away against Abeokuta Stormers on Friday in Ijebu Ode.
