Dependable versatile Abia Comets player, Oscar Nwaimo has said the team is targeting to maintain their unbeaten run in the Nigeria National League, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The Umuahia-based side are currently on a five-match unbeaten streak which has seen the team move up to the 8th position on the log in Conference A of the 2023/2024 NNL season. 

Nwaimo, a product of SKE FC of Port Harcourt, who has remained a formidable player for Abia Comets, pledged to continuing giving his best for the team while thanking God for a injury free season. 

"Firstly, I want to thank God for injury free games so far. I am happy we are getting good results. It’s been a good fight from the whole team and we will try to stay focused to continue the unbeaten run."

Abia Comets will be playing hosts to Vandrezzer FC in their next league fixture next Saturday in Match Day 11 at the Umuahia Township Stadium.
