Acheampong Savours Point Against Bayelsa Queens in Yamoussoukro
Alfred Kadiri
Ampem Darkoa Ladies star, Grace Acheampong says her team getting a point in the game against Bayelsa Queen was fair but her wish was the maximum 3points, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The midfield enforcer walked away with the Player of the Match (POTM) award after she impressed the tournament officials with her brilliant skills with the ball.
After the game, Acheampong said: "Delighted to have finished game as the MVP, and would have been happier with a victory. A draw was fair for a stiffer test we had."
Both champions played out a barren draw in their second CAF TotalEnergies Women's Champions League WAFU B Qualifiers on Wednesday evening at the Stade Yamoussoukro, Cote d'Ivore.
Meanwhile, Nigerian women champions Bayelsa Queens still leads the group with 4points with a superior goals difference ahead Ampem Darkoa Ladies who are on 4points too.
USFA of Burkina Faso is placed 3rd on the log with 3points while Athleta Ladies FC of Togo are bottom with no point after two matches.
