Adanna Scores Four As 9ja Ratels Humiliate Paul E In FCT FA Cup Final

By Niyi Busari

Nwachukwu Adanna stole the show as she scored four goals to help Naija Ratels emerged champions of the 2023 Women's FCT FA Cup, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Adanna scored two goals in each half, in the 13th, 26th, 36th and 80th minutes to recording an outstanding, remarkable and memorable performance over their opponents, Paul E FC.

Folounsho Amina and Animashaun Aisha completed the rout scoring in the 19th and 77th minutes.

The final match kicked off at 2pm at the Area 3 Sports Complex, Abuja.

Bankole Olowookere, head coach of Naija Ratels praised Nwachukwu Adanna saying her return from injury is a relief and a booster for his team's quest for Nigeria Women's Football League (NWFL) Super Six and Federation Cup title. He added that the huge scoreline in the final is a signal that they're more prepared than ever to play to the Federation Cup when it starts in May.

"We missed the absence of Nwachukwu Adanna when she was injured and now that she announced her return with four goals, it is a good news and booster for our quest in playing in the Super Six of the NWFL and final of the 2023 Federation Cup.

"This time, unlike last season when we were booted out by Nasarawa Amazons, we are more focused on the FA Cup title." He said.

The runners-up, Paul E and Champions Naija Ratels will represent FCT in the national women's Federation Cup which kicks in May, 2023.
