Following his decent performance in the competition, Nigeria's Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman has been named in the UEFA Europa League Team Of The Season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian International was instrumental in Atalanta reaching the final of the competition beating the English Premier League giant Liverpool along the way.

The Bergamo-based side defeated the German champion Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in the final with the Nigerian star scoring a hat-trick.

Lookman was beaten to the Player of the Season award by Marseille's Pierre Emerick Aubameyang who scored 10 goals this season.

Three Atalanta players made the list, 4 from Leverkusen, 2 from AS Roma, and 1 from Marseille.
