Africa Cup of Nations: Full Round of 16 Fixture, Dates, Venues Confirmed

The round of 16 line-up for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations has been officially confirmed following the conclusion of the group-stage matches on Wednesday night, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The group phase wrapped up on New Year’s Eve, with hosts Ivory Coast claiming top spot in Group F after an entertaining 4–2 victory over Gabon. Cameroon also progressed from the group but were forced to settle for second place despite securing a win over Mozambique in their final fixture.

As a result, the Indomitable Lions have been paired with South Africa in a highly anticipated round of 16 clash scheduled for Sunday evening. CAF has confirmed www.bsnsports.com.ng earlier report that Nigeria will face Mozambique in the Round of 16.

Earlier in the week, Algeria confirmed their dominance in Group E with a convincing 3–1 win over Equatorial Guinea. First-half goals from Ibrahim Maza, Zineddine Belaïd and Fares Chaïbi sealed a third consecutive victory for the Desert Foxes, who advanced as group winners.

Burkina Faso finished second in Group E, while Sudan claimed third place to also book their spot in the knockout phase.

With the group stages complete, attention now turns to a compelling round of 16 schedule featuring several heavyweight encounters.
