A total of 23 nations, including host country Chile, have officially secured their places at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, set to be staged later this year in South America. Among the qualified teams are four African nations—Nigeria, Morocco, Tunisia, and South Africa—each of which earned their spots through standout performances at the CAF U-20 competition held across various Egyptian cities.

Leading Africa’s contingent is Nigeria, the most successful African side in the history of the U-20 World Cup. The Flying Eagles will be making a record 14th appearance at the tournament. Their past achievements include two runner-up finishes in 1989 and 2005, and consistent deep runs in numerous editions, solidifying their reputation as a powerhouse in youth football.
