African Athletics Championship: LOC Unveils Sub-Committees

The Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the combined Confederation of Africa Athletics (CAA) U-18/U-20 Championships, scheduled to be held in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has inaugurated various sub-committees to oversee the smooth running of the event, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The LOC, led by Bukola Olopade who is also the Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC) reiterated its readiness to deliver a championship that both Nigerians and the rest of Africa can be proud of.
The technical sub-committee is headed by Olympian Enefiok Udo-Obong, with Olawale Olatunji, Lekan Soetan, Olalekan Adebote, Tosin Solademi, Dr (Mrs) Grace Ataha, and Ashipa Abayomi as members.
Musa Amadu is chairman of the accommodations sub-committee, alongside Tunde Aderibigbe, Yinka Titiloye, Derby Onwuzulike, and Femi Jaiyesimi.
The security sub-committee is led by Olympian Fidelis Gadzama, with Dauda Omizi, Solomon Aliyu, Col Abbas Mohammed, Dare Esan, Isiaku Abubakar, and Akinwunmi Fashake serving as members.
Gowon Akpodonor heads the media and publicity sub-committee, with Michael Azeez Ogunsiji, Ben Efe, Charles Ogundiya, among others.
The NSC’s Director General, Bukola Olopade, oversees the venue and facilities management sub-committee alongside Emmanuel Igbinosa, Ademola Are, and Tunji Onatolu.
The medical sub-committee is led by Dr Paul Onyeudo, with Dr ThankGod Coleman, Joseph Okoh, and two representatives from the Ogun State government as members.
Femi Ayorinde heads the anti-doping sub-committee, alongside Fadeke Fadeyibi, Dr Sam Ogbodeminu, a representative from the Ogun State government, and Raphael Odo as secretary.
The secretariat and accreditation sub-committee is led by Sagaya Abdulmumeen, with Abiola Odetola, Bola Alake, a representative from the Ogun State government, and Ifeanyi Ossai as secretary.
