African Athletics Championship: Sports Minister Receives Victorious Team Nigeria

The victorious Team Nigeria athletics U18 and U20 contingent have finally returned to the country from the just concluded Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) Championships in Ndola Zambia, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Team Nigeria finished 2nd position behind winners South Africa, winning 17 Gold, 10 Silver, and 9 Bronze medals in the championship.

Upon their return to Nigeria, they were received at the Murtala International Airport, Lagos, by the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, other top officials of his Ministry, and that of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN).

The championship which was held in Zambia had 39 African Nations participate and it combined both the Under 18 and 20 Championships.
