African Athletics Championship: Team Nigeria Women's Claims Gold In 4×100M Relay

Nigeria’s women’s 4x100m relay team clinched gold at the African Championships after producing a brilliant performance to successfully defend their title in Accra, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The quartet of Rosemary Nwankwo, Obi Jennifer Chukwuka, Rosemary Chukwuma and Miracle Ezechukwu stormed to victory with a time of 42.94 seconds, finishing ahead of Liberia and Ghana in a thrilling final.

Liberia settled for the silver medal after pushing the Nigerian team throughout the race, while hosts Ghana claimed bronze.

The victory further underlines Nigeria’s dominance in the women’s sprint relay event on the continent, as the team retained the title they won at the previous edition of the championships.
