Nigeria’s sprint hurdler Tobi Amusan delivered an impressive performance to qualify for the women’s 100m hurdles final at the African Athletics Championships in Accra, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Amusan clocked an unofficial time of 12.82 seconds to win her heat and finish as the overall leader heading into the final.

Fellow Nigerian athlete Adaobi Tabugbo also secured qualification for the final after finishing third in her heat.

Her time was enough to earn one of the available fastest loser spots.

The duo will now represent Nigeria in the final as the country continues its strong showing at the continental championships in Accra.
