The newly established African Club Association (ACA) is set to officially commence operations this month, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Modelled after the European Club Association (ECA), the ACA was formed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in late 2024 to enhance the interests and development of football clubs across the continent.

Following extensive consultations and deliberations, Engr. Hersi Said was appointed as the inaugural president of the association.

Latest reports from Cairo, Egypt, confirm that the necessary funds have been transferred to the ACA's accounts, paving the way for full-scale operations to begin.

The ACA president has reaffirmed his commitment to achieving the association’s objectives and driving progress within African club football.
