Sampson Adedeji
The hope of Nigerian clubs taking part in the second edition of the African Football League is hanging in the balance, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The competition kicked off in 2023 with Nigeria's representative Enyimba International crashing out in the first game against Wydad Casablanca.
The Confederation of African Football on Wednesday confirmed that the teams that will participate in the second edition have been increased from 8 to 16 teams.
They have already started sending an invite to clubs that will play in the competition.
Mamelodi Sundown of South Africa is presently the defending champions after they beat Al Ahly in the final last year.
