African Games 2023: AFN Pre-Games Meet Hold In February

Athletics Federation of Nigeria ( AFN) has concluded plans to have its Pre-Games of the African Games held in February, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The first phase of the meeting is scheduled for 2nd to 3rd February while the second phase will be held from 16th to 17th February in Abuja.

According to the statement, the approved events for the men’s category include; 100m, 400m, 1,500m, 400, High Jump, Long Jump and Javelin while the events for the women’s category are; 100m, 400m, 800m, 100mH, Triple Jump, Discus and Race Walk.

According to the update from the Federation, there will be prizes for 1st to 6th positions in the men's and women’s events.
