African Games Volleyball Qualifier: Nigeria Coach Unveils Final List

Ahead of the African Games Volleyball qualifier, the head coach of the Nigeria Women's team Samuel Ajayi has unveiled the list of 12 players that will represent the country, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The team under coach Ajayi has been in a closed camp since late December and the team was trimmed down to 12 players after a thorough training.

Five players from the U21 and two from the U17 made the team while Ijeoma Ukpabi Jummai and Bitrus will serve as captain and assistant captain of the team.

The 13th African Volleyball Games Qualifiers is scheduled for 4th to 8th January at the National Stadium in Lagos.

Final List:

Ijeoma Ukpabi (Captain), Sharon Achi, Aliyah Usman, Maryam Ibrahim, Mirabel Onyegwu, Happy Wushilang, Blessing Unekwe, Deborah Chukwu, Ifunanya Udeagbala, Kelechi Ndukauba, Albertina Francis and Jummai Bitrus.

The Head Coach is Samuel Ajayi while Ezechukwu Oguamalam is the assistant coach.
