African Handball Championship: Nigeria To Participate In Women's Youth Championship

After successfully winning the IHF Women's Trophy Africa Continental Phase title, the Nigeria under 18 women's handball team will participate in the 19th Africa Women's Youth Nations Championship, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

In the draw ceremony held in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, Nigeria was drawn in group A alongside Guinea, Algeria and two times champion Tunisia.

Group B has defending champion and the most successful team in the championship with four titles in Egypt, and three-time finalists in Angola, DR Congo and Morocco.

Nigeria will be participating for the first time in the championship since they came second in the very first edition in the year 2000 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

The Championship will hold in Monastir, Tunisia from the 16th to the 23rd of September 2023.
