African Inter-Club Competitions: CAF Gives Nigeria, Others Deadline

Ahead of the 2022/2023 CAF inter-clubs competitions, the African soccer ruling body has given member associations including Nigeria a deadline to submit their representatives, BSNsports.com.ng report


Few days ago, RS Berkane emerged the champions of 2022 CAF Confederation Cup while Wydad Casablanca of Morocco subdued Al Ahly of Egypt to clinch the African Champions League title.


According to the report coming from CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, each member association has until the 30th of June 2022 to submit the names of their representatives in both competitions.


CAF further confirmed that there will be no extensions to the date.


The Nigeria Professional Football League has 7 matchdays to end with Rivers United leading the table with 10 points ahead of the closest rival Plateau United.


The Aiteo Federation Cup that will produce the country's representative in the Confederation Cup is still at the state level.
