Scrabble Kenya chairman Bernard Amuke said they aim to beat the African champions Nigeria In Lusaka and believes they have picked a strong team for the assignment, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Scrabble Kenya has picked 28 players to represent the country at the Africa Championships starting this Friday to Monday in Lusaka, Zambia.

Amuke told The Star of Kenya: "We have a very good team of 28 players including one official from Kenya Pipeline Company, who is one of our sponsors. Pipeline footed the association's pending registration fee."

Last weekend, Scrabble Kenya hosted the ASC Invitational Masters tournament at the Nairobi Stima Club, where Allan Oyende emerged top.

“Masters’ tournament acted as a build-up to the Lusaka event and we look forward to good results," he added. He said they are targeting the title and no one including Nigerians will stand in their way.
