African Volleyball Championship: Nigeria Missing As CAVB Releases Draw

It was a big shock on Saturday evening as the draws for the 2023 Men's African Volleyball Championship were conducted without Nigeria, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Team Nigeria was initially listed among the countries expected to take part in the Championship but it was a big surprise to many sports followers as the most populous black nation failed to attend the championship.

The reason for the absence of Team Nigeria was not determined as the technical team proceeded with the draw.

Out of the 18 countries expected only 15 appeared for the championship and they were drawn into 4 groups of 3 and 4 teams.

The competition which is slated to hold in Cairo, Egypt will run for two weeks.
