African Volleyball Nations Championship: Kenya Thrash Nigeria 3-0

Nigeria’s women’s volleyball team suffered a heavy defeat to hosts Kenya, losing 3-0 in the Round of 16 at the 2026 CAVB Women’s African Nations Volleyball Championship, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Kenya produced a dominant display at the Kasarani Arena in Nairobi on Saturday, August 29, cruising past Nigeria in straight sets.

The hosts won the first set 25-21 before taking the second set 25-17.

Kenya maintained their dominance in the third set, sealing a comprehensive 25-15 victory to complete a 3-0 win.

The result sees Kenya advance in the continental championship, while Nigeria’s campaign takes a major blow following the straight-set defeat.

The 2026 CAVB Women’s African Nations Volleyball Championship is being held in Nairobi, Kenya, from August 23 to September 5.
